You may be seeing plenty of old folks around town or your neighbourhood area, opening up trash bins to pick out the empty drink cans. Common sight around Singapore? Yes, indeed. These cans sell for roughly 5 cents each at the scrap metal dealers.

Some folks take this up to supplement their income; others do it for a living.

Amazingly, there is at least one staff who involves himself actively in this activity around school.

Is the school not paying him enough? Strange indeed...
